James "Jim" William Birch (birth registered October→December 1888 in Leeds district[1] — death registered January→March 1935 (aged 46–47) in Leeds[2]) was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1900s who at representative level played for Great Britain, and England, and at club level for Leeds, playing at Prop, i.e. number 8 or 10, during the era of contested scrums.
Jim Birch won a cap for England while at Leeds in 1908 against Wales, and won a cap for Great Britain while at Leeds in 1908 against New Zealand.[3]
